Finally got mine a few days ago a full 2 1/2 months after it was submitted.  Who else has theirs and who else is still waiting?  Seems pretty ridiculous to me . .

MEMBERSHIP PROCESSING
GOAL: To have associations process Adult league and membership data in a timely
manner and to have associations work with leagues to collect the information as quick
as possible.
MEASUREMENT: The average number of days taken to process Adult leagues, from
league start date to the date of transmission to USBC Headquarters.
GRADING SYSTEM: From league start date, average days needed to transmit Adult
membership data to headquarters.
• A: 30 or fewer days
• B: 31 – 40 days
• C: 41 – 50 days
• D: 51 – 60 days
• F: More than 60 days
WHAT TO KNOW: USBC requires league secretaries to send membership information
to the association within 30 days of the start date of a league; associations must transmit
information to USBC Headquarters within 20 days of receipt.
It will be important for associations to work closely with league secretaries and center
processors to ensure it receives data in a timely manner.
USBC will measure the data during the 2013-2014 season and preliminary grades are
expected to be available July 1, 2014, for associations

A decade ago they were getting them out inside 3 weeks for 6 million sanctioned bowlers, now it takes 7 weeks for 1.7 million bowlers?  That's what doesn't add up for me.  Yes 1.7 million cards to get out is a lot, but when it takes over twice the time it did for less than 1/3rd of the same amount of bowlers, that's what gets me.  It's freaking November, what's the point?  Might as well tell people to print them online.

Our association's secretary is our leagues secretary/treasurer in the league I bowl in.  I got mine on Saturday.  Again, not surprised based on the amount of sanctioned bowlers.

Don't forget USBC mails them 4 Class mail cheaper rate.  The post office can hold them for up to 4 weeks before they process them out.  That information came from USBC when I called last year. SO with the league having 30 days to send them to the assoc. Then the association has 20 days to process to USBC. Then USBC sends them out maybe 1 or 2 a month to the vendor. Vendor process 1 a month (is what I was told). Mail holding them for up to 28 days.  That is 124-136 days before you could receive the card. That 1/2 of a winter season here. That is way to long.  Remember do not always blame your local assoc for this.

The biggest issue is trying to explain to people what they're paying dues for, and we're running out of reasons.  "Well we don't even get our member cards until the season is half over."  USBC is losing members over petty little crap like this.  I realize people are getting more impatient and unreasonable, but it's more like a last straw type of deal.  If they can't even get the smallest things right, what's the point?

No I can't, lol that's part of why it's hard to keep coming up with reasons for people as to why they should sanction.  Before long the only people that sanction will be the ones going to the Open Championships. 

Can you honestly say that 95% of all sanctioned bowlers actually benefit from being sanctioned?

I know in my center there isn't a great benefit for them.  We have maybe 50 people that bowl a tournament maybe once a year.  A dozen people who bowl numerous tournaments including nationals.  And maybe a dozen people who bowl "honor scores".  So for the rest of our hundreds league bowlers, there really isn't a "value" in sanctioning other than USBC keeping average records (which to the majority isn't very important)
