usbc white pattern
« on: November 16, 2010, 06:19:35 PM »
How do does one play this pattern?  I only bowled one game on it because I had to go to work.

I started with my Twisted fury playing straight up 7 or so and it read the pattern very well.  The twisted rolled early, cleared the midlane, and the arc'd in the pocket.

I tried my pin down 1k polished mission and I had to go give it a little more room and then it was flat 7's.  Could it have been the polish that caused this reaction?  My TF is almost OOB.

I would assume your a lefty *?*  Normally when you hit flat seven or ten You need to tighten up your line and hit the pocket a little higher.  How you make your adjustments to get there is up to you.  The thing to remember about the red, white and blue oil patterns is the oil is flatter on the lane.  Meaning, your not getting that funnel shot you'll normally see from a THS.  Accuracy is also key when bowling on flatter oil patterns.  Good Luck and Good Bowling!

You are correct, I am a lefty. I was playing pretty straight with both and I could see the Mission just laboring while the TF jumped harder on the backend. But reflecting upon it I was slightly deeper to compensate for the Mission being stronger.  I did only have one game on the pattern.  I will take off the polish on the mission the next time I see the pattern.
