What's the most destructive thing in a bowling alley you've seen someone do? Either by you or someone else? One time I saw someone take a 6 lb ball and throw it overhand down the lane and shatterd the light in the pit. What else?

well i had my old Ebo Tornado get stuck on my thumb and hit a celing tile, didn't go through it thank gawd and our wood fronts took the hit of the ball coming down and it happend to have so many revs it went straight side ways into the gutter, i also dislocated my thumb on that one, people laughed, i didn't because i hurt my finger and my ball got a big piece knocked off (good excuse to buy a new ball, i diddn't like that thing)

okay now the most destructive is one guy playing infront of the ball return, nails the return and breaks the cover and knocked the belt off, and then turns around yells curse words and then kicks the shambled ball return and threw his ball and broke a table

Back in the old days when the score use to be reflected back up to the score aparatus, I saw a guy miss a one pin spare and turn around, walk back and put his fist thourgh the glass opening. Needles to say the game was ruined and he broke three fingers!

Since nobody else has said it, i will. The most destructive thing to ever occur in a bowling center is........

a pre-bowled 900 series !

You all seem to play at really violent centres!

Most destructive thing I've seen would probably be at one of our ranking events last year. It was in one of our worst centres, and believe me, this place can fry the head of the calmest bowler! The lanes are generally completly flooded, and NOTHING hooks, regardless of ball or RPM.

Anyway, I was on a pair of lanes with the other half, and a couple of other bowlers. One of bowlers was getting increasingly wound up as his ball just slid all the way down the lane, and picked up an open bottle of coke and just threw it as he came over the approach. Coke went eveywhere, including the bowling balls, and the other half promptly stood right in it.

Not destructive to a bowling center, but most definately destructive to the SPORT is not something I have seen, but something I have not seen.  I have not seen anyone pre-bowl two concecutive 900s.  Apparently no one else has either, but they've now been USBC approved nevertheless.

worst 2 things i've seen was someone slamming the pro shop door so hard after a bad night that it busted off the hinges, then 2 weeks later, the same guy was in the locker room, took his ball and slammed it into a urinal, shattering it all over the men;s room. he's still banned from that center, and this happened in the early 90's!!

Yesterday I was at a tournament and witnessed the complete disregard of house property I'd seen in a while. The person (moron, bad loser, etc...)in question after throwing 4 splits in a row(after front five) packed up his equipment and walked out without finishing the series, then came back in and threw a houseball at the lane machine and one at the house manager. After that he cussed everyone out and left. What I don't get is he had a 265 & 259 and just walked away without trying to salvage the last game if he struck once and had a mark in the tenth he would've at least placed.

two items - seen a guy throw his ball thru the drop ceiling shattering a
number of the tiles.

In addition, seen a guy punchout the old gumball machines severing the
tendons in his hand.  Not sure if ever regained full use of his hand.

Wow Rhinotec, was that a handicapped no-tap tournament or something similar?  Those certainly can be frustrating when you enter without realizing that you have to score very close to 300 each game plus have a high handicap to boot -- just to place anywhere at all in the money.  Everyone else ends up being donors.  One single missed strike and you've likely blown it.  One single open frame and you've definately blown it.

Reminds me actually, a few years back during the superbowl weekend, that two people on a saturday night league were taking bets on the game in there league. I don't remember the exact details but someone got into a dispute over a payout and a brawl came next.

In the end of the day 6 cop cars were outside taking away the league treasurer, and about 10 other league bowlers. From what i can remember they ripped down a banner, threw chairs just about everywhere and some tables in the restaurant were broken and alot of broken beer bottles. I think one of the counter girls got cut up a bit when trying to separate someone. But in the end of the day i remember they ripped down some ceiling tiles, when tearing a banner off, and broke a 45 inch tv screen. The center ended up making the entire league pay for the damages and it cost the league about half there prize fund.

I wouldnt really call this destructive but extremely funny. Anyways my buddy went looking through house balls, and found one he wanted (doesnt bowl league) and walk towards our lane. Well this guy isnt the brightest guy around....he wondered if bowling balls bounce.... (if your wondering..yes they do) so he throws it on the gorund as hard as he can (hes pretty strong) and it comes back and hits him straight in his crotch....he had to go to the hospital ROFLMFAO

Buying a lane#1 ball is like buying a car friggin' expensive, but friggin' worth it

It was a Singles Handicap and they payed to 8th place. He came in w/ a 175 average and had a 31 pin hanicap. It looked like he would have qualified for the next round(I think the last spot) if he hadn't left.
