Someone wants $80 for a Marvel Pearl that has had about 10 games on it. Should I pull the trigger?

Depends on what it will cost to make it work for you. If the fit is exact or close enough to work with minimal changes, then it's a great deal.
If you have to plug and re-drill, then it depends on your local pricing for that service. If there are shipping costs as well, that makes it even less economical.
You can probably get a brand new one, drilled for around $200 still. It doesn't make sense to put $150-$160 into what is now going to be a 2nd drill ball.

personally i don't like used equipment, theres gonna be times when you put in more work than you should. Theres been talking about the cg being different because sometimes the plugs aren't as heavy as the balls initial material (don't know if thats actually true), and personally used equipment just doesnt seem to work with me. Like milo said it might be better just to get a new one.

I agree with both previous posts.
Generally the range I look to get a used ball is about $60. With the plugging/re-drilling and additional trips to the pro shop, I feel if the initial cost is more, it is better off getting new.

I think the OP is a 2 handed bowler....So plug the weight hole if there's one and he's good to go...but still, I wouldn't pay $80 for a used one. Maybe $70, but $60 is better.

Yea 80 kinda to steep. I would invest more $ into a new one that way you don't have to ask yourself did I buy a used dud.

Ah, as a two hand bowler, now that's a different story. Any plugging costs are going to be minimal, so $80(including any shipping) is a decent price for a ball that only has 10 games on it. It's still practically a new ball.

I picked up a new MP last April for 150 drilled at K&K in Vegas. Not sure how many are still available on internet, but I believe it was discontinued so I would look that route. It is a great pearl that is a mainstay in my tournament bag.

I'm a two-handed bowler, but I use my thumb with it. Unfortunately, someone else beat me to the ball. Really sucked seeing how I'm hearing the Optimus is night and day from the Marvel Pearl.
