Rebuilding
« on: May 04, 2010, 04:17:25 AM »
Going to rebuild my three ball arsenal (not counting plastic) and need some help.  I have slower speed (15+/- mph) and average to low revs.  Currently I have a Columbia Arch-Rival that I want to keep as my medium condition ball.  It's drilled with the pin about 4 1/2" from the pap and just to the side of the ring finger.  (Pin up drillings don't seem to work well for me)

I would like to stay in the Ebonite family and have a ball above and one below my Arch Rival.  Right now I have a Bedlam with a high pin that really does not fit my game for some reason even after a couple of surface changes.  Also have a Messenger Ti Pearl (black and gold) that has seen better days.

Sure would appreciate some advice.

Get a Magic Action for heavy oil and a Freeze to replace your Messenger.

Oil Ball grab yourself a Black Widow sting.
Lighter stuff I would shoot for a freeze or maybe a Sharp Noize.

Both the Pure Swing and Mission have less mid-lane roll than the MA in my opinion which allows the MA to play heavy oil better (especially if dulled).

The Full Swing would be a better option along with the Jigsaw Corner if one did not want the MA.

Magic Action is one of the most under-rated balls to hit the market in years. I have 2 and they are both bigger than a Mutant Cell I sold and 2 Missions I have thrown.

BW Sting would be another great option for more hook. Good price point as well.
