Since I was just putzing around with a urethane Hammer last night, I can verify what most of the people here have already said. Unfortunately, I took quite a lot of abuse when I threw a ball I did not get good hand in, and promptly left a 5-7. I mean the shot was a bit inside, but a 5-7?? For me??
Oh well, yeah I'm a girl, I'm a sissy, but next shot is next shot. Pulled it a pinch inside again, and left a 5-10. That's it. Where is my skirt! I already know I will be hearing about this for awhile now. Thank God it was only practice!
Urethane will get caught in the dry, whereas resin tends to bounce off if you swing it a bit outside. However, if you have to move inside a bit, urethane does handle oil better than resin, which will skid and then have a sharp turn as soon as it hits the dry. Urethane will try to roll through the oil, then begin a gradual turn as soon as it hits dry backend. I will say though, that while I may have lost some carry on o.k. shots yesterday, it made me focus harder on hitting the pocket properly.

D <~~~~ Used to be terrible wiffing 10 pins. Now through much practice, can wiff any single pin spare at any time.
