Videos Just Seem to Confuse Me!

I have watched dozens of bowling videos. They supposedly show the various ball reactions. Most of them look the same to me. Once in a while, a different line is used but 90% of the videos show a bowler stand left and throw over the center arrow (or close) out to 8 or 10 and it comes swinging back for a strike, or at least a decent pocket hit.

I am wondering what this does for any of us? (Other than to make us feel bad that we cannot bowl like that!) Seems to me the posters on BR.com sneer at those who stand left/throw right but that is what almost all of the bowlers on the videos do.

Most of the videos I am looking at are showing staffers throwing company balls.

It could be my old, old trifocal eyes but they all look pretty much the same to me.

What am I missing?

I know what you mean. I think some of that has to do with the shot thats put down as well as the lane surface. I know that at 90% of the centers near me that even with a two handed release I can't get that much hook.

this is why I really enjoyed brittons videos. many of his videos showed the various pba and kegel patterns and you then you see the difference in balls.

but sadly 90% of the videos just show stand left throw right. what can you do? its what scores and what shot is out.

I try and do that with my videos, I have since stopped making them due to several reasons, but plan on making another one soon with my new Jigsaw, and possibly the Motiv GT1..  Anywho...  I try and use multiple lines, angles, hand positions, and varying lane conditions...

I may have to repost them sometime to another site..  Didn't realize putfile was no longer around.
