Value of a minnie mouse ball?
« on: August 13, 2008, 12:23:00 AM »
Friend of mine thinks she has a classic.  A Minnie Mouse Viz-A-Ball, 12 pounds.

If YOU had one of these classics and were going to place on EBAY what would you expect to get for it?

A friend?  Yeah right!  C'mon LL, we all know IT'S YOUR BALL!

I have no idea what it would be worth... I'm not sure that even a big Disney collector would be willing to pay much more than the original MSRP which, I think, was about $100.

I have a Superbowl XXL vis-a-ball and a Tony Stewart vis-a-ball, both 15lbs. undrilled and in the box.  If I were to sell them, I'd be surprised to find anyone who'd give $100 for either of them.  However, it is ebay...

All right...it's my spareball and hasn't hit a thing for 3 years except air!

Badum!

BUT seriously folks...I did a survey it looked to me like a few viz-a-balls in the past couple of months went for like $59 but in general about $39 is the norm pre ship?

Minnie special in some way?  By the way ....NIB.

Maybe he meant XL(40). XXL is 50 in roman numerals.

Oops!  Sorry guys, it was Superbowl XL.  Oddly enough, I can't find a pic of the ball I have online.  I may have to snap a pic and see if I can get it loaded somewhere to show you.

No it isnt...

L is 50... X is 10.. I SUPPOSE somone could be mistaken for thinking that XXL is 50-10-10=30, in the same way IV is 5-1=4.... but they would still be wrong

XL is, correctly, 40... L with an X before it is 50-10 - 40

Check this site. If you type in both L and XXL, you get 50. But you are correct.

Yeh, its giving 50 for XXL because it doesnt recognise it as a proper roman numeral
