VERY Sweaty Hands / Easter Sarge
« on: October 26, 2015, 10:43:56 PM »
My hands sweat. A lot. I'm about 5'5, 130lbs. About 15.5 mph, and have a smooth, easy style, without too much hand. I think I'm about an 1/8 forward and inside (?) in thumb. (My local proshop guy and I played around with the pitch for awhiiiiile) The sweat was so bad, though, two years ago, i got so frustrated with it i stopped bowling. I changed my diet, have left stressful environments, and They've gotten much better over the past two years. I started bowling again at the beginning of this season and feel back in love. I dropped from 15 to 14lbs, and now wear a thumb saver glove. I have a small portable fan i use between shots. I cant use my rosin (the thick powder) either, 2 shots later and my hands are 10x worse. I do have two regukar rosin bags that use. My hands also get so bad, I wear a golf glove in my other hand when need be. BUT I've never been able to hold the ball better, all thanks to the glove. I don't start to lose the ball in my swing and can hit it better than I've ever been able to. I'm still shaking the rust off, but I feel like I'm bowling better than ever.

Two weeks ago though, I came across the Easter Sarge grip and have talked myself into trying it out. I'm hopeful that I will be able to control the ball better throughout my swing and not have to wear the glove. I've talked to the proshop guy and he's going to drill it up as soon as I give him an older ball.

My Questions
Will the grip help with holding the ball?
Any recommendations for the pitch in my thimb/ring finger?
Anyone have simular problem to mine and tried to ES grip?
Or even some other ideas/solutions for my hands?

I'd much rather be able to actually hold the ball in my hand and not threw a glove for the rest of fovever.

Hopefully someone can help. He's plugging up a black widow org I found on the rack tomorrow  and will probably have it drilled Friday.
 Any feed back is appreciated!

Sweaty hands ,

try some right guard spray on antiperspirant on it.
or
Kegel No Sweat...Get a Grip! - Hand Drying Spray.
or
Master Control Grip.

If you like the feel of the glove in your non-throwing hand, why not try a glove on your bowling hand?

It seems silly to me to change your grip when you have no problem with your grip. If you're fingers and thumb aren't ripping and you're getting more revs on the ball than ever, why would you want to mess with that?  The problem isn't your span, it's the sweat.

I used to have a spray I got from the doctors for my hands, but after about 30 minutes, like rosin, the sweat would take over and 10x worse. Any experience with the sprays mentioned?

I wear a full glove on my bowling hand. The only thing exposed is my finger tips. I wear the golf glove on my left when my hands start to drip and run down my arm. I do get ring finger discomfort, but nothing serious. The Sarge grip just sparked my interest because it seems that I'll be able to stay in the ball a little longer.
