Agreed about the birthday party idea. Sometimes that's the only silver lining about that situation.
Some ideas: Put a pre-shot routine down on paper next to the ball return, refusing to throw a ball until you've followed it exactly. This helps you avoid the rapid-fire sessions where you seem to be in a race against yourself.
Playing a different part of the lane than you're comfortable with is another idea.
Lastly, try "visualizing" yourself bowling an hour or so before you leave for the center. From set up, to arm swing, to delivery and targeting. If you can find 10 quiet minutes this can be a great way to calm yourself down so when you get to the lanes you're worried about one less thing because you're just following script. Sometimes you can't predict the exact line you will play, but you'd be surprised how close you can get.
