My driller has never done a RICO layout.. soooo...
« on: April 04, 2010, 12:38:52 PM »
I think I might want to try this with my next ball which is gonna be a reign or rattler .. I have read a bit on this layout, but can someone give me a quick clif of what it is? And also, since my driller has never done one, is there a specific layout for one?

No, Rico puts the pin in your grip center no matter your PAP.  For the average PAP, it's still around 5".  Dont forget that there are multiple places that will place a pin 5" from your PAP.  Put a protractor on your PAP, set it at 5" and give it a spin.  While a lot of the locations will be undesirable, they will all be 5" from your PAP.  For many people, over the bridge or in your grip center will be pretty much the same distance from your PAP.

There's a picture of a Sidewinder drilled Rico in my profile if you want another look at one.
