Criticize away. I just spent a day with Ron C. I'm still working out the bugs from all we went over, so please understand that what you are seeing is a way of bowling I have been practicing for about 5 days.
Be nice to me....

I really like that orange ball.

Pretty nice, but you're using the wrong hand.

The league treasurer's kid was on the lane next to me. The rest of the house was full of league bowlers, so space was tight. There are times I thought I'd do better with that orange house rock...
As for the hand I use, buy a mirror. It will all look normal then.

No but seriously, everything looks pretty good. Since i'm falling asleep, i can't tell any minor flaws, but the basics look pretty good. I'm sure someone else who is awake will chime in if there is anything.

Nut,
I am very adverse to criticizing people on their form or style because I'm not a teacher, therefore, I don't have any say....however...I can relate to what MY coach has taught me....
I think everything looks fine....the only thing I see is a slight hesitation of your ball motion once you push away....or....your push-away is sort of muscled at the onset...but then looks nice and free.....
very smooth.....nice finish........nice shot

Ron told me the same thing. I'm trying to fix one or two things at a time. Right now I just want to keep my trail leg down and stay behind the ball longer. The video shows that my trail leg was fine, but I still got around the ball too early (IMO). I want to get axis rotation to 45*. Right now it's about 75-80*.
Freeing up the armswing is in the works. I'm practicing tonight, so I'll focus on it then. Ron told me once I got the ball to my leg in the downswing everything was fine; it was just that first second or so of pushaway/drop that I needed to clean up.
Good eye!

Nothing like a few gutter balls...
I think I'll be taking a walk later this evening, too...

Bob7 - I'm throwing a Columbia Ti Traction. The lanes are a sythetic flood. Nothing snaps on the backends unless it has a ton of revs applied (which I don't do).
As for the rest of you, funny that I put my vid on here for you to critique and you're busy studying the 12 year old on the lane next to me. You guys are a trip...to where I have no idea, but you're all a trip.

Pin-nut,
Good form. And you are shooting an inside line too which is rare for a lefty. I thought you guys camp at the first and second arrows.
Since you are open to comments, I just noticed something. A slight move of the ball to the left in your stance will line it up with your left shoulder. From the backside, I saw that you are holding the ball a little to the center of your body. My two cents.

I'm not your typical lefty. Though the conditions rarely demand it, I can play 4th or 5th arrow when I need to. I'm convinced this crap that AMF puts out for league bowlers makes playing up 5 impossible unless you throw the ball at 25 mph with about 2 revs. That wall bounces everything back into the headpin. Literally the ball will read the lane before it gets to the arrows and is already looking at Brooklyn at 40 feet.
