If you have a ball that you dont like or isnt doing what you want then I would say get a new one, but do so after you have tried different drill layouts and explored different ways of getting that elusive reaction. Try different abrasion pads and definitely check with your local pro shop guy to see what he says is a good idea. Wouldn't want you to sell/get rid of a perfectly good ball.

What he said.  I also would ask what kind of reaction are you getting?  How well do you feel it hits the pocket?  What kind of leaves are you experiencing?  How is your spare shooting after said leave?

My personal opinion is that if I don't like the the ball at a few different surfaces I'll end the experiment and go on to something else.  I usually give it 2 or 3 months.  I don't like to change the layout typically, just because it costs me $50-$60 to get it plugged and redrilled and it does affect resale if you try and sell it later on.  I know guys like to mess with layouts and such, but I have a few that usually work for me, so I stay with them.
