Would help with mold and bacteria if that's a problem. I work at an industrial/wholesale bakery and we use vinegar a lot for that reason, especially on metal surfaces. I'm sure it would clean a ball well, just not sure if there would be any negative issues.
Some people i've heard use vinegar to clean things around the house, would vinegar have any positive effect on cleaning a bowling ball?

Vinegar is the main cleaning agent, as near as I can tell, in a cleaner called Front 9. It is marketed by "Ole Roy" over on BowlingBallExchange:http://bowlingballexchange.com/showthread.php?t=56645. He'll send you a sample if you ask; so you can test it.

So, i take it mix a tsp of soda, cup of vinegar, 3 cups water, and you can clean windows, grills, bowling balls, and repel women with the scent....
