Vise Interchangeable Thumbs
« on: May 19, 2009, 09:55:02 AM »
I am thinking about trying these out and wondered if anyone has had any experience with them good or bad?

I have installed them in three balls.  Really like them a lot.  Feel MUCH more confident with them, not worrying about them breaking.  I broke a lot of Switch Grips.  I like my thumb holes very tight, and feel the IT can take the wear and tear of my tight thumb holes.

Installing them in the ball is very easy for the driller.  The hardest part is drilling the thumbs themselves, but even that is not hard.  If you can find a shop doing them, I think you will be very happy.

I have them in 6 bowling balls now, and not an issue at all. Two of my teammates and my driller have also been using they are so much better than the switch grips. Switch grips breaking made me very iffy about ever trying something like changeable thumbs again but I like having the consistent feel.

Thanks for the replys. I have only heard good things about them and my ball driller uses the IT's himself. I am kind of old school, but I think I will take the plunge and have them installed in a few of my bowling balls.
