To start, and I am sure there will be some, I am not bashing the Vise IT system. Switched the system 3 years ago and this is the first time a thumb has broken on me that wasn't my own fault. I have had them break when I would just leave them in the bag and the white piece would get cracked due to it getting hit by a ball or thrown in the back of the car, but this time was the first time I have had one break during bowling.

 

I have had this thumb for about 2 years and I threw a double to start game 3, go to pick up my ball and I pull the slug completely out of the ball. Look at it, no white pieces, just the grey holder thingy (sorry don't know the name of that piece). Look down into my balls thumb hole and I see all of the white pieces just shattered everywhere at the bottom of the ball.

 

I have never seen that, nor do I know how that happened. The only thing I could think of was that something must've hit the thumb hole just right in the back of the lane and the compression caused the white part to just shatter into small pieces.

 Luckily, it was just league and I was just subbing, so it didnt really mean much, but it still sucked to have to switch balls and get a different thumb than the one I use almost 80% of the time.

 

Anyone else ever see anything like that? This was a first for me. and YES, I will continue to use the VISE IT system. Greatest thing I have ever done to my game.
