VISE Vacu-Grips Survey: Anyone Use This System? Comments?
« on: September 05, 2006, 07:18:02 AM »
Hey BR Family,

I recently acquired a ball from fellow BR User Nick Smith (BrunsNick).
I noticed that he uses the Vacu-Grip system. These grips look loose and
are incredibly soft and comfortable.

Right now, I do not use grips, but I may have a change of heart and try
grips out again if they're this comfortable.

My question is, how much more is this system and how does it work? They look
hardly glued in, but they stayed securely inside.

How much more are these grips and is there a special glue or base that keep these grips in?

Thanks!

Hey Ram, there is a small ridge at the bottom of the hole, you put the glue on that ridge, put the grip in, and it is a nice fit for it stays glued in. no special glue, just the same as what they use on reg grips.

You don't need the Vise Vacu Grip "System" to make a vacuum grip..

I too use a vacuum grip, but drill it "directly" in the ball..

I use this system as well. Great system, very comfortable, and dont wear out nearly as fast as normal grips do. Ive used this setup for the last 9 months, love em!! My dad just went to this system in his Storm Thunderstruck, he loves the feel he gets from the start of the night till the last ball of the night. Says the feel stays consistant all night.

For them to work right the finger holes are drilled out i think 1/32nds bigger, use a green plastic ring that is glued to the bottom of the finger holes, then the insert is glued to the ring and bottom side of the inserts.

Out of my own frustration I tried the system out this summer.  Took about 4 shots before I decided to fully switch over.  While it may not look the best...it's all about the feel!!!
