Any comments on visionary bowling balls. im looking into buying one for my next arsenol.

I'd suggest setting your preferences to 60 or 120 days and then go see the Visionary forum. Lots of pertinent comments.

well my thought is if i asked what everyone thought about visionary in the Visionary forum then i would probably only get a bunch of visionary fans answering it. make sence? i'd like to get some columbia, storm, ebonite, track, and just about anybody that owns a visionary ball answer it

I have never rolled any Visionary equipment myself, but after touring the facilities I'd say they are a great product. Much of the work is hand done and every ball is quality controlled inspected by one of the owners before being let out for sale. The standards they use for determining if a ball should pass inspection are tougher than ABC/WIBC.

I am on the Visionary Test Staff so don't go by what I say. I'll always support the lil guy aka Lane #1, Visionary, etal.

If you didn't know it imjouster...the Wonders family runs Visionary. Same people that took Faball to what they were...before resin equipment came along. Their cores in my book still will be the best. Always in the forefront of coverstock technology. But like charlest says take a look at the Visionary forum.

I've ben using Visionary equipment last 3 years and I can say honestly that I've NEVER had a ball that was overly tracked out or was oil soaked. I can't say the same for the so called big boys.

If, I wasn't using Visionary I'd be using Dynothane <Storm I gotta a probem> or Rotogrip.

I have thrown Columbia, Brunswick, Storm, and Visionary all
in the last year and I have to say that the Green Gargoyle is an
outstanding and extremely versatile ball. I'm surprised more pro
shops haven't caught on to such a great product. I won't throw
Storm anymore, I have never been satisfied or impressed with their
stuff but that is just my personal opinion. Get a Visionary you won't
be disappointed.

Same here,

I have been looking for a replacement for my Rhino T2 For many years now.
I have thrown storm, columbia, Faball, and even some of the newer brunswick balls. Then I was on this site and on bowlingballreviews.com and started reading about visionary, and decided to give them a try. I have been hooked
ever since. The executioner line looks to be a replacement for my T2, and I love the Warlock DC Tour. The staff is easy to work with. I have even been there to meet them(I live in ohio).

My advice to you would be:

1 Examine your game.
2 Examine the visionary website.
3 read the reviews here and on bowlingballreviews.com

Then make a choice, seeing as you are only buying one ball.

In a round-about way, yes.
I have owned one Crimson Exec and two Green Gargoyles. I drilled the CE and the first GG with a simple 4x4. Boht were allergic to oil, needed serious dry to make the turn, but when they made the turn they hit as hard as any ball I have owned. Boht were skid/flip in the most uncontrollable manner I have ever had balls do. I sold both; then because I could resist their lure no longer, bought another GG and drilled it 7x5.

The GG was now controllable but of such restricted use. I only used it to shoot two 600s in one ABC where almost no one on our two teeams came close to it.

Maybe they need a 10:30 drilling or a 1:30 would tame their reaction ....

I have enough bowling balls now, too many, but a Visionary comes to me in my dreams, just to haunt me now and again ...

Visionary. Tried a few. (Oh, I am not a special fan. I perfer Dynothane and Columbia/Track equipment.) Here's my take: These balls get into strongish roll with a strong coverstock (I threw the allegedly skid/flip balls). Good length, but not the best stuff for some conditions. I had real problems with splits, fours, four-nines and nine pins with all of the Visionary stuff I tried. In effect, I needed more oil than the balls were supposed to handle or the balls tended to plow through the pins rather than mixing them.

Now, I gave a couple away and sold another couple and the people who have them love them. They are basically higher speed or lower rev players or players with a higher degree of axis rotation/tilt than I have, who can control the "dig" the coverstocks created better than I could. Let me put it this way, if you have a problem with early, strong rolling equipment, then you will have a problem with the Visionary stuff I have tried, despite getting better length.

I threw mine with a lot of side rotation at one point in time - made the backend more severe.

Your summary sounds like an Inferno ...

Not to hijack a thread but when I throw my Crimson Ex with a lower track and/or more revs the backend is out of this world, like charlest mentions. Some people think the 1500 grit pearl isn't good for much, but if you drill the ball about a 10:30 pattern you can use it on any house condition. I haven't tried mine on tourny patterns yet.

I have 2 Excecutioners, the grey and red. The grey seems to be like urethane on steroids: it hooks plenty, not too much and is very controlable. The red has more back end reaction. I have owned over 100 balls in the last 2 years and these 2 are my personal favorites!!!

You sure that the gray one is not a Granite Gargoyle? It is a particle and was advertised to be like a urethane on steroids. The Executioners are the Crimson, Purple Ice, and Charcoal. Maybe it is a Charcoal but I dont think it would be gray, it had a black and gray swirl mixture, but mine was more black.
