I'd Rather be Lucky than Good.

Thanks a lot everybody!!!  It's truly been an uplifting experience.  From bowlers in my league sort of jabbing me asking for autographs to people asking me about sport bowling and how they can get involved, that article has been a blessing to me.  Thanks to Bill Vint for writing the article as it has helped me in many ways.

For those of you out there who still think our governing bodies don't care about the sport, I can tell you they do!!!  Steve Wunderlich (sport bowling director) and Bill Vint have done a lot of the behind the scenes work in an effort to return integrity to the game.  I'm sure many others in the now USBC are doing the same!

I'm just thankfull for the support they give me and for the support and collaboration of BR members like Mumzie, Pinchaser, Jeffrevs, and so many others.  I rely on all of you in this forum for input so that I can carry out my business in a manner that reflects all of your voices!  

As I've said before, somebody is listening!!!  Thanks a bunch everybody!!!

Famous Last Words of a Pot Bowler--"Ok, but this is my last game!"

I was just glancing over that article last night.  Looks like I'll have to go back for a closer look now .

As for the sport bowling leagues, I wish more bowlers would be willing to zip it up and get over their inflated egos in order to face the more challenging conditions of Sport.  Our sport league has 8 bowlers in a center that could easily draw bowlers from 1/2 dozen nearby towns.  NO one wants to step up and put their ego on the line to see how good they really are.

This week we start a new pattern (we change every 4 weeks).  For the next 4 weeks I'll be shooting on 45' of flat oil.  I've been told to be prepared to watch scores go down...

My current Sport Average is a 180.  I'm not pleased with it, so I'll be back for another season of the challenge.
