Vise TA-1D Tape

- Apply the TA-1 series Tapes inside the thumb hole on the nail side of the thumb hole
- TA-1D is made of thick plastic foam urethane designed to adjust the thumb hole size

I was wondering if anyone has tried this product and what they thought of it. I was talking to a colleague at league last night and the issue of thumb hole tapes came up. And he mentioned a tape that was used in the thumb hole that was padded or made of foam that compressed, so when you insert your thumb the tape would compress and give you a snug fit but still able to release and clear the ball well. I've tried magic carpet and I liked the fit it gave but not so much the feel on the back of my thumb. I'm just looking for some information from users on it (IE: fit, texture, feel, durability, etc.). Thank you in advance for any info.

I've tried it, but didn't really care for the product. Something I found that works better for me is called the Hacks Thumbillow. I've always gotten them from Brown Bowling Supply in Cincinnati, Ohio.

I used to use the Thumbillow, the problem with it was the layers separated too frequently.  I switched to the Magic Carpet, same type feel but no separation problem.  Here's a link to one site that has it listed as a closeout.  --  JohnP
