House Hacks
« on: May 26, 2005, 09:29:31 AM »
Everyone knows at least one and with the THS nowadays we all probably know more. My question is ‘Do we give them enough credit?’

Let me try and explain. I’ve read on the site for several years about how the house hack isn’t worth a hill of beans outside their centre. That may or may not be true but how can “we” fault them? If they are a product of their environment and the best in that house, why not boast about it?

If we as true bowlers go into their domain and can’t compete with them is it their fault or ours? Does our own ego limit us from accepting that they can’t be beat when we bowl against them in their house?

Now the common response will/would be; let them bowl somewhere else and I’ll take them. I say why should they? If they can post high numbers why go anywhere else? Let them talk all they want. If you can’t step up and beat them at their own game then maybe you aren’t as versatile as you think.

The house hack isn’t a pro, but neither is the majority on this site. They know they are the big fish in the little pond. Why drain it for them?

The only way to see who is better at a particular house to to put out a sport shot.  Then the only problem that you guys have would be the approach if it is different and of course the lanes.
