WHy do you have to give up your favorite ball?
Any new ball has to earn its way into my rotation. I wouldn't give up my favorite bowling balls for any new ball, free or otherwise. Even if a new ball proves its worth on one condition or in one house, it doesn't mean it will be good in a 2nd house or on another condition.

I would give up my favorite for a new ball of my choice.  I just took my Twisted Fury Pearl out of the bag after being in there for a year and a half.  It is a great ball and the only one I have shot 800 with, but I find that I get too complacent with a ball after a while.  I am finding the challenge of a new ball a good thing for my scoring.

Yeah, I'd tell them to buy me a NIB of my favorite ball.  Then they can have it.

I'd go for it, but they got to pay for drilling too.

If the person is stupid enough to make this deal, why not take it?

He gets my old beat up ball, I get a brand new one with same specs.
