Spent a couple of hours with Bill Hall yesterday. If any of you get an opportunity to work with him - I highly recommend that you do so. He spotted my flaws quickly, and the fixes are simple, understandable, and appear to work. Now I just need to practice a ton to unlearn 40 years of bad habits.
Stop buying bowling balls and get some coaching. That will probably do more to improve your "ball reaction" than anything else you can buy.

Great to hear that your game is improving RandyO. I myself have plunged into the world of seeking out a coach and I believe my game has improved tenfold, especially in terms of offering an outside opinion on what you are doing and how to get you to do things even better consistently. One little change in my set up has improved my timing and I can't wait to work on other aspects of my game each session that I have.

I practiced 11 games today, and already I can feel less strain and soreness on the side of the knee. In the past I would be stiff and sore within a couple of hours. Bill recommended a couple of changes in my stance, and a couple in the pushaway. The stance changes felt so right that they already seem "normal".
I'm still not performing the swing changes 100% of the time, but I'm at the point where I can tell almost instantaneously when I set the ball into the swing wrong and can stop and reset. I may balk from time to time in the near future, but it sure does feel good to get some "easy" leverage back into the swing.
