We need to come up with a nickname for doing THIS...
« on: November 27, 2008, 02:25:51 PM »
If Rob Stone is going to call a four-bagger a hambone, I propose we come up with a word for doing the following: Shooting a three-game series under 500 with one game over 200.

Because I'd be king of it.

Went 220-125-152 to start the season, for 497. I've done it at least once more since then and I'm usually good for three or four a year.

When a house bowler misses the mark, misses the break point and strike, for many ppl its called a wallshot. When a pro does that its call adjustment

When a house bowler gets his finger stuck in the ball and fall on the lanes, for many ppl its called lame bowler. When a pro does that its called the Machuga flop! ha i like this one.

I don't miss many spares, actually -- what this is typically a result of is split-washout-split-washout-etc., resulting from an inability to react quickly enough to our lanes, which always break down more quickly than most houses but sometimes go really fast.

That 125, for instance, started out with a double, and then of the last eight frames I'm pretty sure I opened six, maybe seven times. Big splits, move a board, throw the next one into washout-land, rinse, repeat.
