« on: June 17, 2015, 08:32:37 PM »
Congrats for making the news first off!
Anywho he is holding the Urge core in the video...I assume it's safe to say his legacy is still living on.

I figured his designs are in the pipeline for awhile tho...

Right...but if he has the rights...how do they get to use it?

As an employee, usually all patents and discoveries go to the employer. That has been the case for many discoveries and patents. It might be different these days; I'm not sure.

Right.  That's what I figured... I was trying to understand the previous poster.  They probably get to use it, maybe he can have the core in his computer or have lose actual cores but he can't put that core in another ball lets say if he got hired by Brunswick.

He would not own the patent on anything he designed while working for them, unless he had an agreement that he retained the design and use rights (which no company would go for).  He would have a plaque stating that he designed something the was patented.  That being said, he would also not be able to use the design at another company.  He would have to make some "adjustment" to the said design to make it new.
