Title: Webpage Performance
Post by: bamaster on December 05, 2004, 10:46:26 AM
Have a favor to ask.  Can you view this webpage for me and tell me if the photos I've put on the bottom of the page work?  And if it loads too slowly.

http://shop.allbowling.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&manufacturers_id=1&products_id=92

Took the photos today, they are kinda large. I've tried to optimize them as much as I could.  Before I add the other shoes I'd like to make sure the mouse-over effect works.

Thanks in advance!
Tony

Cool, thanks guys!

I'm always hesitant to add javascript to webapages but I needed a way to show all the photos without using popup windows (a pet peeve of mine).

Now can someone send me a pair of all the shoes?!  hehe

Dang, this is going to be a lot of work I can tell already.  Oh well.  Such is life.

Peace!
Tony

Tony,

Try loading the images directly in the BODY tag using the OnLoad event.  It will increase performance as the images will begin loading as the page is being rendered.

For a sample, view the source of http://www.motorpride.com and check out the BODY tag there.

Site looks great!
