Does anyone know..... if a bowling center's air conditioner goes out and it is like 90 degrees in the center are they required to cancel leagues?

The center we came from in Irving Texas one year was 102 degrees in the settee area.  I took a thermometer and set it in the chair.  90 would be cool.  Cancel leagues?  Nope not happening.....

There's nothing to really complain about... unless the beer isn't cold!

A bowling alley without beer is like a hooker that doesn't provide a happy ending.

He probably has to get a list of qualified repairmen, then three quotes.  Then the quotes have to go in triplicate to three "higher ups" and they need to sign the repair request and then return it before any repairs can be arranged.  Or they just look at where you are located and say "Ah, its not hot enough for A/C there, yet."

Record heat for the season so far in our area and we had to pre bowl for our monthly travel league.  All was set up and we travelled to the appropriate center/town to do so.  Unfortunately when we got there the place was almost a ghost town.  Lights were not on except where absolutely necessary, no game machines on, Snack bar is closed, bar is closed and there are 4 lanes of 32 running with open play.  The breeze outside made the near 100 degree temperature COOLER then inside the non A/C bowling center.  Ceiling fans were running but just pushing around hot air.  We still had to bowl.  We drove 90 to get there and arranged pre bowl, we had to bowl.  Nothing else you can do about it.

We fought for years at our old center to get our pro shop air conditioning fixed. We even helped by defrosting it when it froze up.  The center managers office was connected to our air conditioner.  The solution was for the manager to lock the closet up so that we could not defrost the unit.  The result was she never was in her office and we had bowling balls popping and cracking on the selves.  The problem was the unit was too small and the cost of replacing was not there.  This went on for years.
