Bio Skin by Vise Grips
« on: January 25, 2004, 08:25:19 AM »
anybody ever use vise grips bio skin,I turn the ball alot with finger inserts and often get skin rips around the crease of my ring and middle fingers I've tried vises stretchable colored textured tape and that works fine for my thumb but I cant hardly gey my fingers in the grips once I apply the tape,I heard bio skin is thin and acts like skin itself...any one use or have any???
or should I go one size up in grips for future tape applications, that would be a pain since my grips fit so good now....
lmk,

I use it. Just make sure you have a clean and dry hand when applying it. If you want to see pictures of how i cut it, let me know via the messaging system and give me your email address. I can take pictures of it if you want. It is similar to one of the cuts they have for the fingers (near the bottom right of the VISE poster on the website), but I can be more economical and cut it a little smaller for the same effect.

Your best bet, is to either, get bigger Inserts so your fingers fit in them with the vise grip skin tape,, or stop using inserts, and go with regular fingertip.

i usta use inserts and started having the same problem, tearing the skin on my ring finger.

well after a year of dealing with it, trying to find different ways of stopping it, i finally stopped using inserts and havent had a problem since.

If it helps any, once I started putting my fingers in ONLY up to the joint and not putting the crease or finger joint into the hole, those cracks at the finger joints stopped.

I had begun to see that I was jamming my fingers in as far as I could to get the best possible feel. This only happened when I wasn't looking. Now to prevent this I use shims to make sure that only my finger tips fit in, and I look to make sure. No more blood making the insert slippery. no more cracking.
