Thanks to the sponsorship of Appletree Answering Service, the third annual Professional Bowlers Association East Regional tournament at Mid County Lanes in Middletown, Del., July 29-31, will offer one of the richest first prizes in PBA Regional tournament history.

Under the sponsorship of Wilmington, Del.-based Appletree Answering Service, the Appletree Classic will offer a projected winner's check of $10,000 (approx. 7.070 Euro), which is unofficially the richest first prize ever offered in a PBA East Region tournament.

"We're excited to be this year's sponsor of the Appletree Classic," says John Ratliff, CEO of Appletree Answering Service. "As a bowler myself, it's very rewarding to support players and the sport that I love and admire."

The Appletree Classic will begin with pro-am squads on Friday, July 29. Qualifying will be held Saturday with the top 16 qualifiers returning Sunday for 16 games of round-robin match play to determine the champion. David Kneas of Annapolis, Md., won the inaugural Mid County Lanes Open in 2009. Danny Wiseman of Baltimore is the defending champion.
