weight holes

I talked to this high end bowler last night and he said that he doesn't use weight because it allow him to play on a wide variety conditions. I CG was pretty close to neutral in every ball. He said that he plays with coverstock to get his ball to roll earlier or later. I wanted to get some people to chime in on this so i can get some clear understanding.

Wizard: The use of weight holes is neither good nor bad. It depends on what reaction you're looking for. I know there are bowlers who like to go with a single conservative layout across all their equipment and then play with the cover as needed. That can work to a point, but you can get even more variation in reaction with different drill patterns, some of which requiring weight holes.

I notice that alot of my stuff rolls good on league stuff but rolls like craps. I use conservative layouts. I notice that I have a couple of weak balls drilled with no weight holes and they give the pop i need. My other stuff has weight holes that are drilled similiar but they roll to early. So i want to drill a couple of pieces drilled with no weight holes and see what happens.
