Title: weight question

I bought a used ball on here from a person, who had said it was 15 lb.  I received it, had it plugged and drilled, and it feels more like a 16 to me.  Now I take this as a risk of buying something online, and have already invested the $$ to get it plugged and drilled, so I don't have anything against who I bought it from.  My question is, is it better for me to just try and resell it, or just attempt to use it?  I threw it today for the first time, and it will take some getting used to.  For one, it is a particle ball, and for two, it is heavier.  My revs are a lot less, definitely, but it seems to move okay to the pocket.

You mean your driller did not weigh it?
should have weighed it before and after
drilling. Then you would have known.
I just had the same problem. Bought a
Super Carbide Bomb 2 months ago from a
guy on here said it was once drilled.
He forgot to mention the plug where there
must have been a gouge fixed. then I go
to get it drilled after setting at the shop
for 2 months and low and behold it "sweated
and lost a pound.." Now I have a 14 pound SCB.
I am not sure whether or not I will like it or
not but it is getting used before I sell it if I don't
as I sunk $30 into it to get it plugged and redrilled.

that's what I was thinking too.  The Assault seems like a good ball, and it can't hurt the practice with a particle, not to mention getting the $40 of use out of it.  Figure I'll clean it, and use it and see what happens.  I suppose I could always try a trade in the future.

You said assault? I sold you an assault about 3 months ago.
I know it was 15 pounds because My driller checked it twice....
It has the CTL grip in it right??? or had. I know for sure he said
it was 15 pounds. If you have it weighed and it does not come out
to 15 pounds let me know and I will send you a little cash when I get
my income tax check to compensate.  But again I was POSITIVE it weighed at
15 or a little over but not 16 pounds.

OMG you are right!  I wasn't trying to be accuasatory here, either, and knew that is wasn't being mischievous.  In fact, it might be my fault altogether because I had the weight hole filled?  That might add a pound to the ball correct?

While it was a pretty big hole I don't see it
at a pound. Maybe 3-4 ounces. To tell you the truth
the ball always felt light to me and I throw 15's.
Let me know about the previous post. I did not take it out
of text was just trying to help out when after you said
assault the ball clicked with your name. LOL.
I will right my wrong if you have it checked out.
I do know the way it was drilled it needed that hole though.

well I had mine drilled as a full roller, so I don't think I would need a weight hole.  Yes I had it redrilled, and believe me so far I think it will just take some getting used to.  I'll have it weighed though and see what I come up with and get back to you  I do thank you for the ball though, and know it went for a good cause.
