Give it to the women
« on: February 18, 2005, 01:17:51 AM »
Just checked the results and found out that Diandra Asbaty(at 72) and Kelly Kullick(at 94) made the cut. Carolyn Dorin-Ballard, Cathy Dorin-Lizzi and Michelle Feldman even had strong finishes. I think it is great that the women are bowling on the mens side for real money and I also think it is amazing that Asbaty made it above Hall of Famers Jason Couch, Johnny P, title winner Lonnie Walicek and Brain Kretzer. I think more women should participate in mens events. Same around the floor?

Yeah I will be happy to give it to both of them, if you know what I mean but i think they are both married.  Seriously though Congrats definitely in order on a very tough pattern they are really showing their skills off by making it this far.  I hope they progress but Ashabty has a lot of pins to make up being almost last.

I should just quit bowling, oh wait I already tried that.

Absolutely.  The PBA should be about the best bowlers in the world, male or female.

That is why at some stops women are trying to qualify through the PTQ. I would like to see more of them trying to qualify though. Congrats to both of these two for making the first cut.

You're looking at results that include some games from today.

Kelly finished the 3rd round tied for 83rd, while Diandra took the very last spot, 108th, by a single pin!

Diandra is averaging around 220 for the first four games today (Friday), moving up from 108th to 54th.  Very impressive; keep it up, Diandra!
