Well my season is over
« on: December 02, 2009, 08:36:00 AM »
I went in for a diskogram today and as I suspected my bottom three lumbar disk's are completely destroyed. I am off for a three level fusion, and according to my Dr. I might never bowl again. Bowling has been my passion and my life for over twenty years. It's really hard to think about, I even have a couple of three's this season already. I wanted to wish everyone a great year on the lanes and I am praying that I can eventually pick up a ball again.

Some of you may have heard about the flooding in Fargo,ND this past spring. We just about literally filled the FargoDome with a little over 2 million sandbags.
Anyway, a friend of mine was in there helping out(as many of us did) and had a sandbag hit his bowling hand/wrist at a bad angle. The tendon on the thumb side of his hand ruptured so badly that, while repaired surgically,he can no longer bowl or even write with his right hand.
He's begun bowling left handed with a Black Vibe,a White Dot,a wrist brace, and much determination. While obviously no where near his former averages and ability,he still shows up and bowls to the best of his ability.
You,too, should find a way to bowl without hurting yourself after your surgery and do the best you can..............
Good luck to you and you'll be in my prayers.
