We shot women's city tournament team event today. One of our tournament team mates couldn't make it - had to go out of town, so we bowled the 4 woman team event.
We shot 975 the first game, 915 the second, 820 (

) the third, for a scratch total of 2710. Add in our measly (compared to other teams) 210 pins handicap, and we shot 2920.
We not only took over first place by 294 pins, but were 5 pins behind the leading 5 WOMAN team.
What makes teams click? It wasn't one bowler, it was 3 of the 4 of us - 680-699-752...
I was asked by several of the spectators who put the team together (me), and why we bowled so well together...
I told 'em it was because we all love the competition - there are no hot heads on the team, and no head trips, petty arguments, grudges, and stuff like that.
Thoughts?
