Title: West coast…Lessons with Ron Clifton?
Post by: Magic Carpet on May 10, 2004, 09:06:14 PM
I will be on the west coast June 8-22
If you live in the Reno area, Oakland Ca. area, Southern Oregon area or Phoenix Az. area and would like to book some lessons let me know.
I have a chopped up schedule but I may be able to fit you in…..worth a shot if you are interested.
rclifton@traid.rr.com
The cost will be:
1 person for 2 hours $120
2 people for 2 hours $200 save $40 as a couple

group lessons:
This is really better cause you get more total time and will learn more for less money

4 people for 4 hours $400 = $100 per person
6 people for 6 hours $540 = $90 per person
(does not include lineage)
Satisfaction guaranteed or your money back...all but lineage!!

Doc, I hate to be Captain Obvious, but:

Actually, I wonder how hard it would be to get a group event together around the Oakland area.. I'd be willing to drive up for something like that.

I am sure there would be several BR members that would be willing to get out for lessons.

I know some of you have sent me pv. messages but when I click on "Messages" I get a message that says "Directory listing Denied". Does anyone else have this problem?

I am on my way out of the house now I will post later about west cost lessons.

Hey Ron,

I'll ask my center Mgr what she'll charge per line in Alameda, that's where I have my shop.  More convenient if you wanted any adjustments done for an individual or you can use it as a classroom too if needed.  Castro Valley I know offers $1.50 per line Sunday mornings for open play, I'll check on the others and get back to you.  Fremont(Cloverleaf) stays kind of on the dry side, if that's a condition you would like to give lessons on.  It is clean and bright though as Doc said.

Bowl400 or Doc, what's the lineage at Clover on the weekend?  Thanks.

1.50 on Sundays but sometimes they will work something out if there is a group.  The shot in the mornings is a challenging shot.

Guys I will give you more info next week. I am on my way to the seminar in Md. now. When I get back I will figure out when I can be where.
Seek out good bowling centers to work in.

tenpinspro,
It was nice of you to offer your shop to work out of.

Can the rest of you guys near by that want lessons get there that day? Thats the only weekend day I have available. Otherwise I am looking at Thursday the 17th.
The cost will be:
1 person for 2 hours $120
2 people for 2 hours $200 save $40 as a couple

Hi Ron,

I apologize for the delay.  Just verified my schedule and I will be in Reno that weekend.  You may want to check with some of the other guys to see if they would like to meet somewhere else.

Ron We are bowling a Tourny this weekend and I will talk with the proprieters on using the lanes that day.  How many lanes do you think we will need and for how long?

One more thing if it is on Sunday and from 8 am to 12 bowling is  $1.50 a game.

Thanks Doc,
Right now it looks like we just have 3 or 4 people wanting lessons so we could get by with just one pair of lanes if we had too. 2 pair would be nice if they can spare them.

Unless something changes I will plan on early Sunday morning (June 13th) and we are talking about Cloverleaf Family Bowl right?
I will drive over from Reno on Friday night and do some sight seeing on Saturday with my family. If anyone knows any "must see" stuff in the area let me know. It would also be cool maybe if we could get a BR group together for dinner or something Saturday night( June 12th).

By the way for those that are too cheap to get lessons why don't you show up anyways so that we can put faces to names.

For those that show up Rick will have a free ball giveaway.

Well maybe not but if there are enough who knows.

Gads, I would absolutely love to make it for some lessons, but it would make me break my vow to not touch a ball at all this summer. After the winter season, as badly as I bowled because of injuries, I felt that it would be better for my game to just take 3 months off. By taking lessons now, I would prolly be wasting everyone's time.

Just come on out anyways and have a get together even if you guys don't want lessons.

We will have a few pairs to bowl on that Sunday morning.

If any of you have questions message me.

Doc, I would love to come out there, but that ends up being a REALLY long drive for me, and on a weekend when I have my daughter, it just takes away too much time. My second reason for going (wanting to get equipment refit from Rick) obviously can't happen either, since that bum is going to Reno that weekend.

I started a separate post for the Medford – Grants Pass area if you can find it.
Mumzie wanted to get down but was not sure if she could make it in the middle of the week. She just got back from a long trip.
I will come up there to meet you and Bob Korth no matter what.
