Okay, I think this has been asked before, but I could not find the thread, so here goes. I am looking to increase my knowledge of measuring and drilling bowling balls in order to help the pro shop at the centre I work at make more money. The pro has shown me a certain amount, and I can drill holes, measure, plug etc well enough, but layouts and the like are a little confusing still, and he is "unwilling" to help despite the owners requests to him. Can anyone recommend any books, courses etc, bearing in mind that I live in Engalnd (which might rule out some options I guess). Any help is greatly appreciated.

Not sure about any books, but you may want to see if they have any seminars in the area.  The U.S. usually has some people that travel around giving seminars on the latest products and drilling tips.  Try going into another pro shop in the area and see if they can offer any help on where to find these courses or see if they can offer you the help you are looking for.

R C , There is a place where you can get a two tape video series at   www.bowlingsbookstore.com  they also have it in the PAL version which I belive is for European format, it lists on line for $49.95. It is called The Complete Bowling Ball Fitting and Drilling  Video Series.

Well, THE experts are supposed to be IBPSIA,
International Bowling Pro Shop and Instructor's Asscoiation.

But, of course, a lot depends on your Pro Shop owner's relationship with IBPSIA. I'd suggest a course with them, but if your pro shop objects, well, then you have to discuss it with them.
