What a NIGHT!
« on: January 02, 2008, 11:06:15 AM »
It's called finding a groove as a team and staying in it!

Tonight in my trios league, we had a banner night.  As lead-off man, I posted scores of 252, 269, and 211 for a 732.  Our anchor had games of 244, 238, and 234 for a 716.  Our second bowler just crushed it: 268, 289, and 259 for a 816.

Team scratch was 2264.  Even with my paltry 211, we averaged 255.56 as a team.

Needless to say, we won all of our points tonight.

Just had to brag a little about our team a bit tonight.

Wow. Awesome shooting.
/Sarcasm on/ was it a wall shot, or are you all lefties?
/sarcasm off/

Seriously - those are some great numbers!

Congratulations, Keith, that was some really serious bowling your team accomplished.  Does that put your team in any of the local or state record books?

Thats how a team is supposed to play.  Had a fight with a team member tonight lossed focus, you know didn't care win lose or draw.  Not bring you down sorry great shooting.

I wish we could do that.. Only one week me and one of my teammates (we are 1 and 2 for league averages) with him being 215 and me being 212 (Youth bowlers here) and can I state this is a traveling league..

Anywho - I shot 740 he shoots 720.. 1460 for us two scratch.. We only end up winning 3 out of 7 points total.. 2 points for each game total pins, and 1 pin for total pins of all 3 games.. Well we took game 1 and total.. It was bad...

You never win all the time, learn to remember that, all you can do is bowl the best you can and it sounds like you did pretty good to me.  Keep your head up and keep plugging a way.

Right.  Last week we were blanked entirely, losing games by more than 50 pins (didn't help that the opposing team had 100+ pins in handicap).  This week was just redemption!

Thanks, all!

Oh, Mumzie - I'm the only lefty!  I'd say it was walled up, but there were some pretty able-bodied bowlers that had average (or poorer) nights.  I think we just had a sweet spot out there or something.  I'm not complaining, though!

To think, I used to like you!  Darn cheaters, using the easy side!

Nice bowling though, don't see teams rip it up like that too often.
