What is the best med/heavy skid/flip (hockey stick) ball reaction out there. Lucid or First Blood ?

neither really "flip" if you watch scott norton he was using an enigma and first blood after that and the first blood was much smoother like the taboo solid. the lucid will get down the lane better than both of those but imo doesnt truly "flip" but without knowing your release specs this is just a guess going purely on ball characteristics. what made the nano balls flip was the nano additive and once they took those out the cover was less responsive to friction.

Typically balls on the higher end of the hook spectrum are not "true" skid flip balls.  They can have some angularity but not considered skid/flip.  From what I have seen for that condition, you would want to look at something like the Innovate by Ebonite, Wrench by Hammer, 706A by Track.  If you want a Storm ball, I have heard the Fringe is pretty angular on the backend.

Also.......when the lanes are heavier oil wise, nothing is going to flip because in order to have flip, you need a good amount of friction on the backend.  On heavier conditions, you can achieve a hard roll on the ball; but definitely not flippy.  However...on medium conditions, balls I mentioned above will give you what you are looking for.

I agree with the previous replies whole heartedly.

And on the two balls (I own them both) the first blood is much longer and more angular than the Lucid, the Lucid even when polished isn't very angular, just extremely continuous.

The 900 Global Dirty Look gets my vote for being a true skid/flip (hockey stick) backend reaction ball.
