Convert Finger hole from 1" to 31/32'?

Is there any quick fix other than plug and drill to convert from 1" to 31/32. Like glue a shim in or something?

bowling tape. If you want to just get a grip in. add tape to front, back, side and will get it right.

You could use some "quick-dry" plug and it would be ready on 20-30 minutes I think. 

I'm old fashioned so "anything put together easily might fall apart easily".  Shims could fall out or break. Tape, may be an option, but you might spend more time getting it "right" in the small finger hole area than plugging with the quick setting plug now available.

That would work if you got the right size, thats for a 1 1/32" hole not 1".
Or else youll have to drill the hole bigger.

It's probably 1 1/32", I haven't pulled the grip yet to check it.

I don't think it is drilled for vacu inserts, I think it is a very large grip insert.

Took an electrical 1/2" pvc connector, sanded it to 1 1/32 and glued in it, Then drilled 31/32 hole. Home made transition sleeve for .25. I think it will work, it's super glued in.
