Last year I had a really good year for me with honor scores. I just in the past week got all of my rings/plaques/certificates. I got them all at the same time for some reason or another and one of the bowlers I respect the most in my area was like "what's in the bag?" (ABC plastic bag). So I pulled them out proudly although I know he has roughly 47-48 300's and 25 800's sanctioned, and he was looking at everything and said "You have done something I have been wanting to do for a long time" of course I asked what's that? He said "290 (11-in-a-row) plaque, 298 ring, 299 ring, 300 ring, 800 ring, and certificates for multiple awards for each one but the 298, you almost bowled for the cycle twice in the same year". I hadn't thought of it at the time, but I am not so salty about the 4-9 split on the 298 or the ringing 10 on the 299. Has anyone else here "bowled for the cycle" in one season?
Changed the topic name so that people wouldnt scroll past thinking it was another post about how there are to many honor scores nowadays, and how they don't mean anything, etc
