I just wanted to know of any good suggestions of a ball that has a good length, and violent back end response in medium oil. Also at a decent price. I was thinking of Ebonites Black Ice or Circles Hard core, but not quite sure
-
From what I've read on here, The T-road pearl fits the bill.

Well...I don't know about the term violent back end...but consider Roto Grip's Horizon. Really good ball...at a good price as well.

I'd recommend looking at the Toxic as well. Huge backend at a mid price point.

Mr. Lebowski, this is Bill Salnicker with the Southern Cal Bowling League, and I just got a, an informal report, that a member of your team, uh, Walter Sobchak, drew a firearm during league play. If this is true of course, it contravenes a number of the league's by-laws, and article 27 of the league...

I'd say the Rampage.

If I'm correct, Brunswick tends to have balls that roll up early.
I would say the Storm T-Road Pearl or the Hammer Raw Hammer Doom or Raw Hammer Toxic. If you can find one, the AMF Supreme Justice Pearl is an amazingly underrated ball.

If your hand can't do it, then the ball won't help a whole lot.
There are 479 balls with great backends; in fact, most, but not all, balls are designed that way. Pick almost any mid-priced pearl and it will or should do that, unless you are highly rev-challenged.
Oh, by the way, the greater the backend, the less control you'll have over the ball; meaning the more splits and washouts you'll throw for every strike that that huge backend will get you. One factor goes hand in hand with the other.
And life goes one ....

Best back end for the bucks: a Power Groove pearl reactive! Unless you play on soup and with an aggressive drilling, these balls can do woundrous things in the hand of an experienced bowler.

You can try sanding a large flaring ball with PAP on axis. Should give you the length and the backend you're looking for. Try 400 or 600 grit.

Danes already suggested the Silver Streak Pearl which I was going to suggest, based solely on the reaction from my original version of this ball.

Take a look at the ROTOGRIP lines, good prices with balls that have alot of
pop.. I have the Saturn polished, long and strong. The Horizon Solid
basically strong......Prices you can't beat with great performance.

I had the pleasure of seeing a T-Road pearl in action last week, that ball has AMAZING back end. It was outhook most of what was being used in the back end and killed carrydown. Very nice carry with some serious movement. It looked great on the lanes but I worry about control? If you're looking for violent back end though, look no further.
-
I guess it depend on what cheap is to you. I personally like the Track Machine. It has descent length and a strong back end. Can get it on bowling.com for $95, perhaps less somewhere else. Or you could get it used from someone on this site. I also like the Rule. Can get that one a bit cheaper.

another vote for the t-road pearl. It completely ignores carrydown. The backend is phenomenal even with the weaker drill. I paid $99 for mine so the price was right.

From what I've seen, the Roto Grip Saturn is a good ball at a really good price

If your really wanting one cheap, get a hold of a Power Groove Blue sanded urethane ball. I have mine with a short pin and drilled to roll early, amazing hit for such an inexpensive ball. Though many are recomending mid priced balls you said cheap, this is it. You can polish or sand as needed. I left mine in box condition and works well on medium condition for my league bowling.

Somehow I second that. A friend of mine got one as a spare ball and for dry lanes - but it hooks like crazy, almost as much as his Rampage. Just a smoother overall hook shape, but surprisingly strong (and cheap). Just what I said: the (Power) Grooves are widely underestimated!

Track Equation drilled strong. Great backend and great hit.

Track Equation.....strong backend movement and extraordinary hitting power.
Radical Infernos can be had pretty cheap these days as well.

An awful lot of cheaper balls will do what you're looking for, I'm sure. I have and AMF Orbit Extreme that is drilled to do exactly that, and it does it very, very well!
