that your release technique determines your track??
Ok,a little background here........
I talk to my brother every weekend on the phone to catch up adn keep in touch with the family. We're seperated by 1,000 miles.
Anyway,he told me he's going to get himself a heavy oil ball for next year. Ok,fine. He also said that after reading the BTM that he got he was going to tell his driller that no matter what that he was going to get a low pin drilling....i.e. pin next to or under the ring finger. He's a righty, low track,16 -18 mph, medium revs bowler. I told him that the release was what determined your track on the ball and that was one of the factors in drilling a ball. Also, I told him that he shouldn't tell his driller that because there were other factors in drilling, to include final finishing weights of top, side and thumb after drilling so that they fall within the 1 ounce limitation.
He said ok,but you could tell that he wasn't too happy about me telling him the things that I said above.
So,was I correct or even half correct??? Or,was I completely incorrect and owe him an apology?
And if wrong, I will apologize.
Thanks in advance for your replies...........
