I was going to make my own topic, but one of Ron's current signup posts seems like a good a place as any.
Seriously, if you can make it to one of Ron's seminar's, you owe it to yourself to do it. I'm sure the older members remember the success I (and Sr. Kegler, Rick Wunder, Coach Jim, Toma...) had after short visits with Ron. I went to see Ron last night since I now live close (ain't I the lucky one!). He is a big advocate of forward pitch. I use a bunch of reverse, and have always hung up in a ball with less. I ended up throwing his ball because our hands are pretty close. Well, at least where my span should be. Instead of my 4.5" span, 5/16 reverse 15# ball, I used his 4", 1/2" forward 14# ball. That's a pound lighter (the easy part), 1/2" less span, and close to an inch more forward pitch! Never in my wildest dream would I have thought I could throw such a ball. I almost forgot to mention this was without my robo brace as well. I have arthritis, and the only way I can bowl (at least with my current grip) is with a substantial amount of support. With the new grip I'll soon have, the reduced stress may allow me to get rid of the support and bowl without pain.
Anyway, you don't know how much you can accomplish until you try. I you come, show up open minded. You won't regret it.
