I didn't say it was worthless, just worthless to me for the purpose I wanted to use it for. Yeah, it's fun to play with, but we just don't have enough use for it to justify the cost, and once you get the concept of how it all works, you can get really close to what you're after. I hadn't realized it was an Ebonite exclusive software, I knew they'd developed it, but I didn't know that they hadn't "worked a deal" with the other companies to make it all inclusive. We don't drill a lot of Ebonite brands, so the return isn't worth the expense for us.
But I know how this is going to work too, if I say we don't need to get that specific or technical, then I get comments, "You're doing your customers a disservice if you aren't giving them the best of what's out there or putting your full knowledge and effort into it," and if I get really anal and technical about it, then I get, "You know it really doesn't matter that much right? You won't notice the small differences on a house shot anyway, you're into the law of diminishing returns." I just wanted information on the software, not an ethics debate.
