What determines your bowling success?

Scores at nationals, scores in PBA experience or sport shot, overall average for all bowling endevors, tournament wins and losses, or is it as simple as money won verus money invested?

The Nationals.  Every year, you get one chance on the biggest stage most of us will ever experience.  If you do well, it is a great feeling for the rest of the year.  If you don't, there is always the next year.  In either case, it will expose every flaw there is in your game and you will know what to work on.

Agreed.  As long as I'm improving, I'm happy...and I should be happy for a long time as I've got so much room for improvement.

I make goals at the beginning of each season, and achieving those goals determines my success.

shoot 600 each time out and try to have ZERO opens
650 +
700 +
750 +

ending average I want to have
top 5 in average for my league

Also it helps me to focus on someone who I know will be " up " there so I can keep my head in the game and try to beat him week in and week out.
