Update: Not of the "I shot 230 and 240 on the Shark how do I play it better" kind.
My 1000 grit ball worked better at the beginning. I was striking fine in practice (which didn't happen before) and then once the game started it was really touchy. Playing up 11 worked pretty good, but after a while this thing really confused me.
After a game or so it became clear that I should not be playing where I was at.
I spent all night trying to adjust around (adjusting roll moving around), crossing over, coming in light etc. Near the end the ball would either brooklyn or skid and miss the headpin. This is where my lack of experience kills me because I don't understand why it is happening. It probably started in game 2 and I was able to make it work longer but by game 3 I was screwed.
I still won, but I wasn't happy with how I got there. After the thing was done I start playing around with my shiny particle pearl and it seemed to work if I put the ball down and hooked it out only a few boards to maybe the 13 board (if I can remember correctly). It was still extremely touchy (brooklyn or skid) but the better carry and the tiny amount of ball reaction as opposed to no ball reaction seemed to tell me that this is where I should end up.
I don't understand why the shiny ball is working better at the end unless we really grabbed all the oil up in 3 games. I was thinking the Scorpion had a ton of oil so I don't get it. One thing is for sure, I don't have the revs to really make this pattern easy like I see around me. If I don't have a good strategy or a clue of what is happening to the lanes, accuracy definitely isn't enough to win.
