What do you guys use for heavy oil
« on: January 09, 2005, 12:41:46 PM »
What balls are you guys using for your heavy oil/flood condition. I played with my particle deisel today as it was the strongest ball I had and only after 3 1/2 games did the ball stop coming back with huge wet oil streaks on it. So needless to say the ball didn't move to much so what ball would you guys play in that situation.
Thanks
Brian

The question should not be what ball but how did you attack the lane. Usally I start by playing up 15 and move right as needed.

Fear Factor. Ball needs oil just to get down the lane.

I will use my Visionary Granite Gargoyle with the box 320 grit or I sometimes use my Columbia Quake that I keep very dull.

Well it depends on the extremity of the flood. If it is a flat flood I start with my V2 Strong/R box surface drilled 3 1/2 x 3 1/2 and by the middle of the second game I go to my V2 sanded 3 1/2 x 3. If it is just the heads that are flooded and some backends then I use my V2 Particle drilled 4 x 2 and then go to my V2 Sanded drilled 6 x 3.

Heavy oil?  What's that?  I never see any around here.  In fact, everything I have is so geared towards dry-light-medium oil that my best bet would probably be to dull up the old Columbia Vector One and play it tight.

Heavy ... what now?
lol

The most aggressive ball I'm throwing now is a depth charge.

The most oil I see is at tournaments, which if heavy enough calls for the Colossus Supreme drilled max leverage according to the sheet from Mo that was in the box when it arrived.
