I bowl a tournament which uses long heavy oil. I usually use my Scorcher and this is the only ball (in my experience) that moves in real flood. I also have the SCB and the Angle Evolution Tour but they take a backseat to the Scorcher. Now, in the New Year (2005) tournament , a guy who used a polished Ebonite Matrix and a Quantum Helix (Part Reactive/Part Urethane) won the tournament. While we are shooting the inside line, this guy is on the second arrow shooting cross alley to the pocket. He is releasing the ball so smoothly that you see the ball get into a roll after about thirty feet and finish. A few times, he will miss his release and the ball will hit light. But it is really the bowler. I think someone said here, "there are no heavy oil balls, just heavy oil bowlers". Until I saw this guy won the tournament with his Helix, I would have said baloney to this.
