My new league idea.Better then scratch...better then current handicap.

You use say 90% of 220 average.

Sounds about right for most leagues 80-90% of 210 or 220 is normal. Except one important change. The handicap is opposite! That's right, if you average 220 or more, you get 120 pins maxium handicap (give or take, I don't know how to do the math on it. If you have a 160 average your handicap is like around 60 and if your average is 120 or less give or take...you guessed it...your handicap is 0!

THIS is how handicap leagues should be ran. If you don't average high, you know where you need to improve! No more lucky 150 bowlers shooting a 600 series. No more 120 women bowlers shooting 180 on you. Handicap can't save them now! Since it's impossible to sandbag this way, you can only do one thing: Try to bowl your best! This doesn't discriminate against lower average bowlers, it teaches them to do better. The current system is flawed and the best team never wins. This would be an awesome league! haha
