What do you start with on a Fresh house shot?
« on: June 03, 2005, 04:21:40 PM »
Just wonderin, cause my 8-ball arsenal from Buildanarsenal.com says I have a hole in "SLOT 7: (Medium Differential, Medium Hook, Reactive Solid Cover... Your baseline ball in an 8-ball arsenal. One of the following balls should give you control, midlane read and power on most fresh house shots.)"  Here is my present ball line up.

Sling Blade (I tend to do better with this with a little carrydown, but it's hard to say.  Can be erratic.)
Big Deal (Just got it today, played two games with it so far and this ball REALLY moves nicely, and hits like crazy.)
Vortex I (Just had CPR, so we'll see!)

Typical house shot? I will start with my Hot Wire and go from there. If I know it's a house where the shot carries better from the outside because of the heavier oil inside of 10, I may start with my Absolute Inferno...

Before my Absolute Inferno it was my Intense Inferno
but now, the first thing out of the bag and used all
the way through league play is my Absolute Inferno.

Well, I don't mean what's the "best" ball for a house shot, as obviously there are a billion answers to that question, but rather what your starting point is.  What's the first ball you take out to get a feel for the shot, or that often works for you on a fresh house shot.

The bench mark balls I have at the moment are to week to read the fresh shots I see (tournaments only), so I use my trauma ER which has the earliest move out of that, my tpc player, and my phenom unleashed.
